Membership

Membership of the Band and Drums Branch of the CRA is limited to former members of the Regimental Bands (all Battalions), and the past and present members of the Corps of Drums.

Occasionally, membership may be granted to 'friends' of the Band and Drums, such as family members or anyone who has developed special friendships over the years. The aim is to maintain the excellent reputation and comradeship that has existed in the Band and Drums over the last 200+ years!

CRA Branches

The Cheshire Regiment Association, known by its initials "CRA" exists to foster comradeship among serving and former members of  The Regiment.  Membership is restricted to any individual of any rank who is serving, or has served, in The Regiment or any of its Regular, Militia, Service or Special Battalions or in any unit duly authorised and recognised by the Regimental Council as belonging to or forming any part of the Regiment. Most Branches hold regular monthly meetings.

It has been an established Charity since 1933 and helps former members and their dependants in financial difficulty (with the backing of the Army Benevolent Fund). Every soldier who joins the Day's Pay a Year Scheme is a Life Member. Its address is:  The Castle, Chester CH1 2DN.  (Tel: 01244 327617)
