2nd Battalion Bandmasters Charles Thesiger Hurst18 May 1880 – 17 August 1893
Arthur John Stretton MVO2 August 1893 – 24 March 1896 Became the longest ever serving Director of Music at the Royal Military School of Music, Kneller Hall (25 March 1896 – 21 September 1921) achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and is noted as being one of the most important military musicians ever.

Albert Graves1 February 1903 – 23 March 1919 The 2nd Battalion Band won the Band Competition at Aldershot in 1904 scoring 162 out of a possible 200.
Thomas Underhill25 May 1919 – 16 May 1939
Ernest Percival Martin17 May 1939 – 19 August 1945
Walter James Adams20 August 1945 – 12 November 1947 The only person to serve as Bandmaster in the both the 1st and 2nd Battalion Regimental Bands. He also re-arranged the Regimental Music, circa 1947, which is still in use today |
